Please measure your old drive to confirm if it is univeral laptop internal drive like this. Some MFG may purposely design some of their own stardards.

OK, so you bought a nice notebook and you like everything about it. except it does not have a DVD burner built in. Did you know it is easy to swap out your exiting optical drive? Usually it is just a few screws to remove and replace the drive currently in your notebook. While every brand is a little different, they still mostly all use the same drive type. This drive will be compatible with 95% of notebooks on the market. The exception would be some Ultra Portables and tablet PCs. They use an Ultra Slim drive.
