The Gilsson amplified antenna is fully compatible with Navman receivers that have SMAM connectors and provides excellent reception with its "active" style antenna allowing better reception between your GPS system and the antenna. The Gilsson SMAM antenna comes with a built-in magnet for vehicle rooftop mounting or any metallic surface. Gilsson has the antenna setup to where you can remove the magnet for use by hikers, pilots as well as boaters to prevent interference with magnetic compass readings. In addition, Gilsson has incorporated mounting holes to allow you with a variety of mounting options.(i.e. automotive surfaces, boat surfaces, aircraft fuselage) The Gilsson SMAM antenna comes as a right angle SMAM connector with 9ft of cable.
