Rather than conventional weather icons indicating sunny, rainy and cloudy days, this weather station features photo image animations depicting the type of weather outside-brilliantly displayed with accompanying sound effects. This multi-channel station comes with one remote sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity from up to 165 feet away. The clock feature automatically sets itself to the U.S. Atomic Clock for precision accuracy. A photosensitive dimmer keeps the light low so there's no more putting the clock face down on the dresser, and weekend alarm settings let you sleep in until brunch or rise with the sun for that fishing trip-without hassling with the Sunday night reset. A 3.8-inch color LCD display features 4,096 different colors with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels for lifelike weather displays. The console receives weather data from remote sensors (sold separately) stationed up to 165 feet away, so you'll always know if the pipes might freeze in the basement, or how those starts are doing in the greenhouse. A crescendo alarm eases your brain into the day. The console has 5 channels to receive weather data from up to 5 different remote sensors (additional sensors required). Barometric pressure measurements for past 24-hours are displayed in both numeric and bar-chart formats for easy reading. The purchase includes an AC Adapter and batteries: 4 AA batteries for the console, and 2 AA batteries for the remote unit.
