Uninterrupted Stable Power, Higher Performance
As a defense against power outages, the PureAV Battery Backup provides uninterrupted backup power to DVRs, Media Center PCs, or any other devices you use in your home theater system. This battery backup unit is designed to preserve your system settings, such as recording times, or keep a hard drive from losing power while in the middle of use. The PureAV Battery Backup uses a 1200VA/640W battery to provide up to 40 minutes of battery backup power.
Unlike most battery backup units that switch to battery backup mode only when a power outage occurs, thereby leaving your system unprotected from constant voltage sags and surges, the PureAV Battery Backup uses proprietary Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) technology that constantly corrects for small voltage fluctuations. AVR technology ensures that you have stable and clean power to all of your equipment at all times. But when a power outage occurs, the PureAV Battery Backup switches to battery backup mode until power is restored or you are able to safely turn off your equipment, thereby saving your equipment from expensive, and possible fatal, damage.
